Personal Design Process:
When you choose a Good Life Home you will work directly with Kirt Kudlacek, the builder, from concept to completion. Good Life Homes limits the amount of homes built to no more then 15 per year. This enables Kirt to be on site every day and to oversee and manage the project without the use of superintendents. We believe this results in the best form of quality control for our customers and eliminates costly overhead which allows us to utilize the best materials for your home, while still remaining price competitive. Kirt will meet with you personally to discuss your vision for your new home and will assist and advise you of any structural changes you would like to make and the financial implications of those changes. We are custom homebuilders and encourage our customers to take an active role in modifying floorplans and interior details to compliment individual preferences and ensure we create the environment you desire. These are just a few benefits of choosing a low volume, high quality builder.
Real Estate Services:
Good Life Homes offers a full range of real estate services to assist our customers and simplify the home building process. We have a licensed real estate broker on staff whom is capable of assisting buyers in all aspects of a real estate transaction. From selling your home to arranging financing, our team of professionals can help!
Building Greener:
Good Life Homes is extremely passionate about efficiency. We are efficient with our time, our scheduling, your money, energy consumption and resources. We believe in doing things the right way, investing in smart technology, even if it costs more money because we refuse to compromise on quality. We are equally concerned with what is behind the drywall as we are with what consumers see and use every day. As a result, we are very proud of the homes we build, because we build them from the inside out. Good Life carefully constructs each home utilizing cost effective, energy saving technology. Standard building procedures utilized by Good Life Homes usually exceeds the Environmental Protection Agency's "Star Energy Program". On every home, Good Life uses upgraded insulation throughout the walls and elects to wrap the outside in Ty-Vex. We use windows with Low E coatings and argon gas, we pre-wire for ceilings fans in every bedroom, and equip every home with a programmable thermostat, in addition to installing "Star Energy" appliances. Our standard HVAC equipment is a Carrier high efficiency, 13 SEER air conditioning unit with a matching gas furnace/heat pump. Many homeowners completely overlook what kind of mechanical systems are offered for their homes and some designers only think of mechanical systems as an afterthought. Often times systems are oversized or ductwork is poorly designed and this leads to frequent cycling which lowers efficiency and poor ductwork design results in unwanted heat loss. At Good Life Homes, our craftsmen perform load calculations on every home to ensure we have the most cost effective, energy efficient systems in place. Good Life also engages in advanced sealing measures; caulking the areas of potential infiltration to reduce drafts and make the home more efficient. And we use OSB (oriental strand board) for our sub floors. OSB is an engineered wood product that reduces the demand for large trees while improving the quality of the sub floor. In addition to what has been mentioned, we simply minimize job site waste by using materials wisely, recycle as much as we can and ensure that waste material is properly disposed of. The immediate benefits of how we choose to construct homes is lower monthly costs, improved resale, greater comfort, improved air quality, greater safety and less maintenance - at the same time reducing pollution related to energy production and saving resources.
